“Like I said yesterday, we are a new team. We are trying to play our best and improve.”

Julia Sude - On Italy: “They fought until the end. To not give them a chance to get into rhythm, we had to stay focused and not make mistakes.”

On the rest of the day: “We will stay here, eat, rest and meet before our next match.”

Chantal Laboureur - On Italy: “They served really good.”

“We pushed each other to serve better, then we had two aces. We played defense well so they could not side out easily."
