Beach volleyball players visit Moscow children

Moscow, Russia, May 24, 2016 - Participants at this week's FIVB World Tour stop took time here Tuesday to visit orphans at the Children Home-Boarding House in the Russian capital city.

"It was a delightful afternoon of meeting and visiting with the children at the Children Home-Boarding facility," said 2008 Estonian Olympian Rivo Vesik. "To have a chance to visit with the children along with presenting them with sport equipment and souvenirs from the beach volleyball event brought a lot of smiles to those young faces."

Joining Vesik at the event were national team players Alexander Likholetov and Ksenia Dabizha along with Moscow Grand Slam tournament officials Ksenia Khakimzyanova and Luis Torres.

Speaking about Tuesday’s visit to the Children Home-Boarding House, Torres said it was “another great experience to share the passion of beach volleyball with a group of kids. Just watching their faces with the players and officials was a joy to watch.”
