Lausanne, Switzerland, May 21, 2016 – The Cincinnati Open concludes on Saturday and it’s been a thrilling competition. The weather hasn’t always been perfect but the fans come out anyway to support their beach volleyball heroes and heroines.
“Rainy is not ideal,” USA’s Ryan Doherty pointed out. “It makes it harder to make the ball float but it's the same bad conditions for everybody.
“We were able to grind through it and get points when we needed them. It is real exciting – in the medal rounds you get a chance to win a medal on the FIVB World Tour against the best players in the world. It's always exciting, especially this one being in our home country.”
